The South Riding RV Travels

731

3rd-10th October 2012 - Joliet IL to Springville NY to Moscow PA to Jersey City NJ

Our friends left us at Chicago but we travelled on towards Springville just south of Buffalo. In the UK we have single trailers but in the US triples are permitted.
We visited friends at Lorain, Ohio which is where the RV is registered and then on to Springville where we spent a week resting from the hard work of driving.
Out in the country they use wood for heating. Our friend had had a delivery which we started to stack. It gets really cold and they have lots of snow here despite being 200 miles further south than we live in France.
The colours are just as good here as in New England and they are still as good as we head south into Pennsylvania towards Scranton and Moscow.
We just enjoyed the vividness of some of the colours. Maples are very common in these parts.
.The last part of this journey was into Jersey City in New Jersey where we camped just across the river from Manhattan and within sight of the Statue of Liberty.
