A much slower pace this month with only 1300 miles
travelled. This month is characterised by us staying with friends in many places
along with a week in New York City. It is unlikely we will visit many of the
folk again if we sell the RV after next year, at least not by RV. We have only
two weeks left in November but only about 600 miles to travel.
The end of the month was marked by the arrival of
hurricane Sandy which devastated many of the places we had visited in New York,
New Jersey and Washington. By the time it arrived we were in Shepherdstown in
West Virginia and although we were still within the 1000 mile ambit of the
storm, we were protected from most of its fury. We were washed by 4 inches of
rain and lashed by 40mph winds but the power remained on and the trees remained
standing.
