11th-12th October 2011 - Boise ID

We were visiting friends in Boise who have young kids. So we visited a science museum designed for kids. They even have boxes for the little ones to stand on so they can reach.
You can do neat things with a video camera and a bit of processing. An introduction to video magic.
In the evening we went to the pumpkin patch (well it is nearly Halloween) I suppose this is technically a squash. It's ugly though.
But it's really all for the kids - and they had a good time.
Another type of squash - not quite so knobbly this time.
Yet more squashes or are these gourds?
Almost a pumpkin but not quite the right colour.
It is interesting to see other people's gardens particularly when they are interested in growing things as we are. This looks very productive.
One of the fun attractions for the kids at this time of year is the corn maze. This one is cut in the outline of the symbol for the local football team. Absolutely ESSENTIAL - but you can still get lost.....
