The final leg for this trip. Only about 850 miles in about two weeks which I suppose is par for the course.
The route has almost all been in desert country and all above 5000ft except for
the last day. It is very hot (even by the Local's standards) The difference
between Flagstaff (7000ft) and Scottsdale at a mere 1300ft has to be felt to be
appreciated. I've been in cooler saunas. We will spend the last few days with
friends putting the world (and especially the US) to rights. But we will be
ready to go home. We have so many other things we want to do. We will be back in
the spring for more travels. |
