The Gardeners Rest, which is sandwiched between two factories and the River Don has just been voted CAMRA pub of the month for October. Lodged in the heart of Sheffields upper Don valley industrial area, its fortunes declined with the steel industry. Then along came Pat and Eddie who have taken the Gardeners to the top of the list of watering holes to visit. Real ale, great hospitality, a hard floor and thick curtains!! What more could you want. Sheffield City Morris stagger to the Gardeners and run an excellent Monday session after their (alleged) practice.
