The museum is next door to the Kelham Island Brewery which produces award winning real ale, and since the demise of Stones and Wards, is the biggest brewery operating in Sheffield.The Kelham Island Brewery has been invited to brew a special beer for DERT 2002.

The brewery’s home pub, “The Fat Cat” is also next door to the museum and has regularly been voted best pub by the local branch of CAMRA. The Cat is a drinkers paradise stocking a fine range of beers as well as the the K.I Brewery’s own excellent range. Not much room to dance - but a warm welcome. Hosts Stephen and Diane will be providing the bar services for the event.
